WHO I WORK WITH
I’m here to support dog trainers who have goals and a genuine desire to grow with their dog. Many of those I work with already have a good foundation – they know the exercises, but feel something isn’t quite flowing, especially when moving from training to competition. Often, they’re looking for more structure, clarity and a deeper partnership with their dog.
I work well with handlers who:
– Want to build a strong team dynamic with their dog
– Care deeply about trust an communication
– Value clarity an consistency in training
– Are open to new perspectives and ways of problem-solving
– Want to prepare their dog to handle distractions and changes with confidence
– Appreciate a community where it’s okay to share thoughts, struggles and experiences
– Are interested in bite work that focuses on understanding before punishment is added.
“STRUCTURE, CLARITY AND A DEEPER PARTNERSHIP”
MY APPROACH
In my own training, I aim for harmony, focus, and a shared understanding of the task. I teach exercises in a way that helps the dog understand the structure before bringing in outside influences like decoys. I try to be consistent from the beginning, avoiding habits in young dogs that might need to be corrected later. I work with early exposure to distractions and try to stay ahead of potential issues before they show up.
WHEN I COACH
When I help others, I consider their goals, their dog, and their starting point. I aim to be honest – even when the truth isn’t easy to say or hear – because I believe people deserve clarity, not empty encouragement. At the same time, I’m not here to judge. I genuinely want to support both people and their dogs, no matter where they begin.
“PEOPLE DESERVE CLARITY, NOT EMPTY ENCOURAGEMENT”
h
“I started this program because I wanted to help people like you build trust, focus, and confidence with your dogs.
People who love their dogs and have big dreams, but feel like they’re missing that “something”.
Together, we’ll create a plan that works for you and your dog, with support every step of the way. You’ll go from feeling overwhelmed to watching your dog choose you every time.
I know reaching out for help, can feel like a big step, or out of your comfort zone, but I promise you, each step gets easier if you just start with the first one..”
ABOUT ME
I want to empower you to get the best life possible with your dog.
My name is Tanya, I was born in 1991 and grew up on a farm in the southern part of Norway, surrounded by animals and nature from the very beginning. With hunting and fishing as a natural part of life, I developed a calm grounded view of the world - one rooted in respect for nature's rhythmn. In my teenage years, horses took the center stage in my life. I competed actively in show jumping and gallop racing where I found joy in the dicipline and adrenaline of the sport.
That same competitive spirit later brought me into the world of bodybuilding and fitness, where I spent eight years pushing my own limits - both physically and mentally.
In 2015 I began working at a kennel with both family and service dogs. There, I met a Belgian Malinois that changed everything - and in 2016 I welcomed my first dog. In 2018, Aava came in to my life as my first true competition partner. We began competing in obedience, Mondioring, IGP and rallyobedience in 2020, and by 2021 we together earned the title of Norwegian Obedience Champion. Aava had her first litter that same year - and Fritz stayed.
By 2023 both dogs had reached international levels: Aava qualified for the World Championship in Mondioring, and Fritz, only 1,5 years old, for the World Cup in category 1. That year we helped secure 2nd place for team Norway, and a 4th place individually. On top of that, Aava was named decoy's choice. Fritz placed 12th, and both dogs requalified for the following season.
A setback came when Aava was injured ahead of the 2024 championship, but she still delivered a strong, approved performance. Meanwhile, Fritz placed 9th, then moved up to the highest level before age 3, qualifying for the 2025 World Championship. That same year, Aava had her second litter - and Yzma joined the family.
At the 2025 World Championship, Fritz and I placed 9th again - at just 3,5 years old. In under five years I brought up two dogs into the world's Top 10 - a testament to the determination, dedication and deep bond I value with my dogs and in my training.
What sets me apart from many others is my mindset. I have always been a natural observer, always asking questions, analyzing choices, and learning by watching. I think in systems, always looking at the bigger picture: not chasing perfection, but focusing on what truly works - for the dog and handler to reach their goals.
Above all I value partnership. My training philosophy is rooted in trust, cooperation, and respect for how things feel from the dog's perspective. I also work with genetics - understanding that nature doesn't always follow our plans, but offers rich lessons in patience, balance and purpose.
